The Cheesecake Factory rated 2.7

Ok, so I went to the Cheesecake Factory and I ordered a burger.  Now, The Cheesecake Factory makes no bones about being expensive, and generally I have found that the food and the service is exceptional.  This time however was different.  I ordered my burger medium.  It did not get it medium.  In fact, calling this burger well done woould be an insult to well done burgers everywhere.  This burger was uber-done.  It was very similar to a hockey puck.  This did not make for a good start.  The bun was average, but they went and grilled it!  I didn't ask them to grill it!  The menu never said anything about a grilled bun!  But they went ahead and did it anyway.  So I will say that the bun was average (at best) because I couldn't really taste it due to the fact it was grilled.  This burger comes with french fries and I have to say that the fries stunk!  These weren't your ordinary french fries.  These were the ones that Burger King switched to way back when.  They are crispy/crunchy on the outside and hollow on the inside and they have little or no flavor.  They were terrible.  The price, for the food I received, was astronomical.  I paid 10 dollars of an inedible burger and inedible fries.  The quality of the meat is up in the air because the burger was so well done, all I could really taste is char.  However, the toppings for the burger were exceptional.  Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, they were delicious.  The service was also exceptional.  Our waitress was perfect, brining drink refills without being asked and being just attentive enough.  Even though our waitress was great, I have to give this dining experience two thumbs down.
